Cycling in Lucca

Lucca: Biking through history and art – 3hrs

Have you ever imagined to jump into the past…riding a bike? In Lucca you can do it!

This lovely walled-town offers the visitors the opportunity to admire amazing buildings dating back from the Roman Empire to the Modern Age while biking up to its beautifully preserved circle of walls and through the fascinating historical centre.

Your guide will take you to the main points of interest: the Cathedral of St. Martin, to learn the special legend about the “Volto Santo”, a special wooden crucifix, and to admire our “Sleeping Beauty”; the ancient roman Amphitheater, today a huge square; the Guinigi’s Tower topped with trees; the Basilica of St. Michael, which stands proudly on the square with the same name; the house of birth (outside visit) of Giacomo Puccini, the greatest opera composer in the world, and many other highlights!
